2023 JUCO PF Jaquan Scott received an offer from West Virginia on Thursday afternoon. Scott is preparing for his second season at Salt Lake CC in Utah.

Scott announced his offer on his Twitter account.

“Blessed to receive an offer from West Virginia University,” Scott wrote.

This past season, Scott (6-foot-8, 210 pounds) averaged 8.2 points and 4.9 rebounds in 29 games. The Dallas native shot 48 percent from the field as a freshman.

Over the past couple of days, Scott has received offers from Cincinnati, Houston, NC State and Texas A&M. Scott played at TLAP Sports Academy before signing with East Carolina as a member of the 2021 high school class.

West Virginia currently does not have any commits for the class of 2023. Current Mountaineer forward James Okonkwo was a member before reclassifying two classes up. WVU’s coaching staff most recently offered 2023 F Jamie Kaiser in June. Kaiser has WVU in his top-9 schools. Scott is the most recent Junior College player to be offered by West Virginia.
