On Wednesday afternoon, West Virginia’s coaching staff extended offers to Cooper Flagg and Ace Flagg from the class of 2025. Cooper and Ace are twin brothers from Newport, ME and will attend Montverde Academy this upcoming school year.

“I am thankful to have received an offer from the coaching staff at West Virginia with my brother Ace! Go Mountaineers,” Cooper said.

“I would like to thank the coaching staff at West Virginia University for giving me this offer. Go Mountaineers,” Ace wrote.

Cooper (6-foot-8, 195 pounds) has been regarded as one of the best players in his class. Flagg has received offers from Albany, Bryant, Duke, Iowa, Michigan and UCLA. Flagg recently won a gold medal with Team USA during the U17 World Cup. In that session, Flagg averaged 10.0 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in five games.

Ace (6-foot-7) is starting to gain exposure after his successful freshman season at Nokomis High School. At Nokomis, Flagg averaged 20.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 3.7 steals and 3.7 blocks per game as he led his team to a 21-1 record and aย Class A State Championship. Flagg announced in March that he will transfer to Montverde Academy.
