One of the top players in a state the WVU football staff is heavily recruiting has the Mountaineers in his top five. Renick Dorilas, a class of 2025 athlete from New Jersey, is considering West Virginia among a group that also includes Penn State, Syracuse, Tennessee and Rutgers.

The 5-foot-11, 150-pound Dorilas revealed his top five on Tuesday, but did so while making it clear his recruitment is still open. While the Union High School product is classified as an athlete by most recruiting outlets, some are labeling him a cornerback prospect.

A three-star player thanks to both 247 Sports and Rivals, Dorilas’ best ranking places him as the No. 8 player in New Jersey and No. 22 cornerback in the country.

West Virginia is one of Dorilas’ more recent offers, receiving the notification of official interest from WVU on Jan. 20. The rest of Dorilas’ current top 5 have been after him for al least six months.

So even though WVU is high up on his list, Dorilas is still holding out hope other offers may come since he has his senior season ahead in the fall.
