A top 2025 in-state recruit will be back in Morgantown for a visit with the WVU football program this weekend. Tyshawn Dues, who committed to stay home and play for West Virginia in September, announced his weekend plans on Friday afternoon.

Dues is a 5-foot-11 athlete from Hurricane High School. He’s ranked as the No. 2 prospect in West Virginia by at least one major recruiting outlet and owns a three-star rating from both 247 Sports and Rivals.

Dues mentioned WVU wide receivers coach Bilal Marshall in his most recent post on X (Twitter).

“After some time and talking with close family and friends I have decided to commit to West Virginia University! Thank you to all coaches who recruited me since the start of my high school career. Thank you to all my coaches, teammates, family and friends ho have helped me get to where I am now,” Dues wrote at the time of this commitment.

Dues primarily plays wide receiver for the Redskins. Dues has received offers from Akron, Eastern Kentucky, Kent State, Marshall, Miami (OH), West Virginia and others. Dues received his West Virginia offer in July.

Dues was the first commit for WVU’s 2025 class.
