2025 3-Star OL Strongly Considering WVU, Shows Mountaineers in Top 5
Just five days after announcing he’s booked for an official visit, Gavin Crawford, a 2025 offensive line prospect, showed WVU as one of his top five schools as part of a post on X (Twitter).
Crawford (6-foot-3, 310 pounds) attends Good Counsel High School in Olney, Md., the same school as top 2024 signee Kyle Altuner. Both of Altuner’s parents congratulated Crawford about locking in his upcoming visit with West Virginia.
Duke, Florida, Maryland and Syracuse make up the rest of his top five.

Crawford has already earned a three-star rating from several national recruiting outlets. Both Rivals and 247 Sports have Crawford as one of the top 20 players in Maryland.
The Mountaineers will have serious competition for Crawford. Before cutting down his list of preferred schools, Crawford had offers from 15 programs, including others like Boston College and Michigan State.
Crawford was on campus in January.
