College basketball analyst Andy Katz listed his top 10 long range shooters in the country, and included WVU basketball senior guard Honor Huff. He listed Huff as the seventh-best shooter in the country.

The Mountaineer transfer was mentioned with Belmont’s Tyler Lundblade, UConn’s Solo Ball, Mississippi State’s Josh Hubbard, Kansas State’s Abdi Bashir, Baylor’s Obi Agbim, UCSD’s Alex Chaikin, UNCW’s CJ Luster, Louisville’s Isaac McKneely and Georgia Tech’s Kam Craft.

Huffโ€™s biggest strength is his three-point shooting. He led the nation in three-pointers made with 131 last year with a 41.59 percentage. That three-point percentage would have him as the 19th highest season average in WVU history if he were a Mountaineer last year.

Huff began his career at VMI in 2021-22, earning a spot on the Southern Conference all-freshman team by averaging 10 points per game while shooting 44% from the floor.

He then transferred to Chattanooga and sat out the 2022-23 season. He started all 33 games in 2023-24, averaging 17.4 points and making 109 three-pointers. Huff was named All-Southern Conference second team.

Last season, Huff averaged 15.2 points per game while leading the country with 131 three-pointers. He shot 42.4% from the floor and 41.6% from range. He earned All-Southern Conference first-team honors.

Huff helped Chattanooga go 29-9 this season and win the NIT championship. In the final against UC Irvine, Huff scored 14 points despite shooting just 3-of-13 from the field and 3-of-11 from three.

Huff set career highs of 31 points and nine three-pointers in a game against VMI this season.

The Mountaineers will take the floor together for the first time on October. 26 when they play Wheeling University in an exhibition game.
