Arizona Cardinals interested in former WVU coach Jake Spavital

According to sources close to Bruce Feldman of The Athletic, the Arizona Cardinals are interested in former West Virginia offensive coordinator Jake Spavital as their next coordinator.

Just last month Spavital left West Virginia to take the head coaching job at Texas State. Spavital spent two years in his second stint Morgantown and guided one of the most prolific offenses in the country led by quarterback Will Grier.

The Arizona Cardinals just recently hired former Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury as the next head coach shortly after being named the offensive coordinator at USC in December.

Kingsbury and Spavital were on staff together at Houston in the mid 2000’s.
