Attendance Makes Home Opener Monumental for WVU Women’s Basketball
The WVU women’s basketball program secured two wins on their opening night on Tuesday – a win on the court and another one in the stands. In fact, West Virginia’s attendance for their 85-41 victory over Towson is the highest attended WVU women’s basketball home opener in a decade.
With a recorded attendance of 2,079, the Mountaineers are already on pace for one of their most attended seasons in recent memory. There’s also now reason for optimism, that like during the current total high of the 2023-24 season, the attendance numbers will only grow as the team keeps winning.
