Big 12 Roundup: 9 Teams Projected in Bracketology

Big 12 basketball is heating up heading into the second week of February. The conference has six teams ranked inside the top 25 and has nine teams in Joe Lunardi’s bracketology.

T-1. Houston (19-3, 6-3)

T-1 Kansas (18-4, 6-3)

T-3. Baylor (16-5, 5-3)

T-3. Iowa State (16-5, 5-3)

T-3. Texas Tech (16-5, 5-3)

6. TCU (16-6, 5-4)

7. BYU (16-5, 4-4)

T-8. Oklahoma (16-5, 4-5)

T-8. Cincinnati (15-7, 4-5)

T-8. Texas (15-7, 4-5)

T-8. Kansas State (14-8, 4-5)

T-8. UCF (13-8, 4-5)

13. West Virginia (8-14, 3-6)

14. Oklahoma State (10-12, 2-7)

Kansas defeated Houston at Allen Fieldhouse to get back into the hunt for first place. The teams throughout the league keep beating up on each other, even the bottom two teams, West Virginia and Oklahoma State, are giving the rest of the league headaches.

Houston (1), Kansas (3), Iowa State (4), Baylor (5), BYU (5), Oklahoma (6), Texas Tech (7), TCU (8), Texas (9) are all in Lunardi’s tournament field while Cincinnati is in the “next four out.”
