Colorado State Transfer DB Decides to Move East, Commits to WVU Football
West Virginia secures its second transfer commit of the day in defensive back TJ Crandall. This now marks the second defensive back commit for WVU in the past 24 hours too.
It’s believed Crandall committed to the Mountaineers over UCLA. Instead of staying out west, the Colorado State transfer decided to move to the other side of the country and join the WVU secondary.

This also comes a day after the West Virginia coaches talked about the impact Beanie Bishop can have on recruiting transfer players, especially defensive backs, in the future. Bishop transferred to WVU last offseason and turned into a consensus All-American in his lone season in as a Mountaineer. He credits the coaches for making him a better player.

Crandall, who visited WVU over the weekend, also received offers from Arkansas, Arizona State, Cal, Cincinnati, Indiana, Louisville, Michigan State, NC State, Oregon State, Purdue, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, and Wisconsin.
In 2023 with Colorado State, Crandall recorded 19 tackles, two pass breakups, and an interception. He has three years left of eligibility.
