Just two weeks after de-committing from West Virginia, 2022 JUCO big man Fede Federiko has committed to Pitt. Federiko visited Pitt last week.

JUCO Forward Fede Federiko Commits to Pitt

Federiko de-committed from West Virginia on April 11. WV Sports Now reached out to Federiko for a comment, but did not receive a response. Just hours after Federiko de-committed, West Virginia signed another JUCO big in Mohamed Wague.

Federiko (6-foot-11) averaged 11.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 29 games for Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa. Federiko shot 59 percent from the field, but didn’t attempt a three-pointer all season.

Federiko committed to West Virginia back in February. West Virginia’s 2022 class includes high schooler’s Josiah Harris and Josiah Davis, as well as JUCO prospects Patrick Suemnick, Jimmy Bell Jr. and Wague.

West Virginia will head up to Pittsburgh on Nov. 11 to play the Panthers in the Backyard Brawl. It could be an interesting storyline if Federiko and Wague develop under their respective programs for a few seasons.
