Former WVU pitcher John Means took a no-hitter into the seventh inning for the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday. Means made his third start of the season after returning from Tommy John surgery.

Means recorded 7.1 innings only allowing one hit, one walk and one run to the Cleveland Guardians. Means’ great performance on the mound comes at the perfect time as the Orioles are fighting for the AL East title.

Through three games, Means is posting a 2.60 ERA through 17 innings. Means is in his sixth season with the Orioles and did record a no-hitter back in 2021.
