Jevon Carter Shows His Worth in Midst of Tough Season for Bulls
For the first time all season, the Chicago Bulls fully unleashed Jevon Carter on Thursday. Carter then took advantage of that opportunity to show he still can be a productive player in the NBA.
Even though the Bulls fell to the Atlanta Hawks 141-133, Carter scored 26 points in 36 minutes of action off the bench. He also added four rebounds and five assists. Carter scored 19 of his total in the first quarter.

This marked the first time Carter even reached double digits in points and the first game he logged 10 or more minutes in a game since playing 14 minutes on Nov. 17.
In fact, Carter has only appeared in 14 games so far this season, averaging 3.4 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game when out there.
Carter signed with the Bulls, the NBA team he grew up rooting for, before the 2022-23 season. But unlike his lack of usage in his second season in Chicago, he played in 72 games last year.
Prior to joining the Bills, the WVU product was most recently with the Bucks for a season and a half after signing with Milwaukee in February 2022. Before that, Carter played for the Brooklyn Nets for a season, was able to experience the NBA Finals with the Phoenix Suns and was drafted in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies. Carter averaged 7.6 points per game during his Bucks tenure, including 8 per game throughout this past season. While mostly coming off the bench, Carter did have some big performances in brief starting opportunities and even gained notoriety among his peers.
