Jude Edwards Raises Questions About Center Depth | WVU Football All 105
All 105 is a West Virginia Sports Now series profiling each member of the 2025 WVU Football Roster.
Sophomore offensive lineman Jude Edwards joined the WVU football program following the conclusion of their fall camp, committing on Sunday, Aug. 17. Standing 6-foot-3 and tipping the scale at 304 pounds, Edwards began his college career at Trinity Valley, a community college in his native Texas.
There he helped pave the way for nearly 150 rushing yards per game, anchoring the offensive line at center. The Mountaineersโ adding Edwards with just days to go until their season opener raises a number of questions. First, can Edwards adjust to the Division I game in time to make an impact on this yearโs team? Perhaps more important, does his rushed inclusion indicate that the Mountaineers are worried about the depth and talent they have at center right now?
Only time will tell.

Last year: Edwards played at Trinity Valley Community College, helping pave the way for a high-powered rushing offense.
Stats: Nine appearances in nine games during his first college season.
Post-camp outlook: After losing all five of their starters from last season to graduation, WVU Football brought in a host of veteran offensive linemen to fill those gaps in their roster.
Projected role: Expect Edwards to serve in a reserve role or on special teams as he adjusts to the grind of Power Four football.
Accolades, highlights: Prior to his success at Trinity Valley, Edwards put together an accomplished high school career in football-crazy Texas, helping his team pick up nearly 5,000 rushing yards in his first two seasons alone. He earned a JUCO second-team All-American selection heading into 2025 after his strong freshman season.
