Former WVU Mountaineers KJ Tenner has found a new home, announcing he will transfer to Murray State Wednesday evening. Tenner, a freshman, entered the transfer portal last week.

KJ Tenner, who was named Mr. Basketball in Tennessee as a high school senior, played in 30 games this season, averaging 13.1 minutes per game. His nightly averages were 2.4 points, 1.1 assists and 0.8 steals, shooting 35% from the floor, 15.4% from three and 61.1% from the foul line.

He scored a season-high 10 points in his college debut against Robert Morris in the first game of the season, his only double-digit scoring night. He dished out a season-best six assists in a loss to Arizona State on Jan. 21.

He joins fellow freshman Jonathan Powell as Mountaineers who have found new homes this offseason. Powell announced his transfer to North Carolina earlier this week.

For a related story, Ross Hodge has no timeline for filling WVU coaching staff.
