Marc Bulger Wins Celebrity Golf Event, Matches Donation for WVU Children’s Hospital

Marc Bulger made his name on the football field, but used a golf course to collect a big win for West Virginia on Wednesday night.
Bulger beat a field of other celebrities, including other former NFL stars in Drew Bledsoe and Victor Cruz, to claim the Ace Shootout championship for 2025.
With the win, the WVU Sports Hall of Famer earned $25,000 for the WVU Children’s Hospital. Bulger then decided his personal foundation will match that and donate an additional $25,000.
Honored to be the #AceShootout25 Champion! My foundation will be matching the $25K donation to @WVUKids! Thank you to @AceHardware @CMNhospitals and all the sponsors for such a great event!

In the competition, Bulger won a series of golf challenges at the Mauna Kea Golf Course in Hawaii.
Bulger was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa and played quarterback for the prestigious Central Catholic High School in the mid 1990s before attending West Virginia from 1996-99. At WVU, Bulger held a 61.6 completion percentage, threw for 8,153 yards and scored 59 touchdowns with 34 interceptions.
He then got drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft before eventually playing for the Rams.
With the Rams, Bulger threw for 22,814 yards, 122 touchdowns and completed 62.1% of his passes in eight seasons as a member of then St. Louis Rams. Bulger assumed the starting role after Hall of Famer Kurt Warner moved on.
Warner had led the Rams to two Super Bowl appearances, won one title and earned an MVP prior to Bulger taking over. He spent one season with the Baltimore Ravens, but did not see the field.
