OL Blaine Scott Signs LOI

Published

on

One of the more overlooked positions, the Mountaineers clearly needed to add more depth to the offensive line moving forward and they helped their cause by flipping former Ole Miss commit Blaine Scott.

Scott is a really big and strong kid and you can see why he was a one-time SEC commit – blue-collar, hard-nosed, gritty competitor and seems to be a very coachable young kid. Scott tells me he has a really good relationship with offensive line coach Joe Wickline. “I like the staff as a whole, they are all just real straight shooters and tell you how it is. They are all so personable and good people to talk to and you can tell they really care about you.”

Scott checks in at 6’4”, 315-lbs and will be getting a shot to play inside at guard. “Due to the lack of depth at the guard position and two seniors graduating, Coach Wick and I feel that it is best for me to compete at guard.”

Scott flipped from Ole Miss to West Virginia and will be an early enrollee.
