Powerful Hitting Catcher Commits to Transfer to WVU Baseball

The WVU baseball program remains red hot on the recruiting trail, securing another transfer commitment.
Looking to continue solid play from the backstop, West Virginia added Southern Illinois transfer catcher John Lemm, according to 64 Analytics.
Really nice pickup for @WVUBaseball as they get the #160 player on The Bard with John Lemm @JohnLemm10. John was greater than 90th % for every offensive metric we track and had an insane 0.389 ISO in '25. Good luck to him in '26 in Morgantown. pic.twitter.com/hcV4xho5tA

In 2025, Lemm hit. .272 with 19 home runs, 11 doubles and 56 RBI. Showing his discipline at the plate, Lemm had more walks (45) than strikeouts (36).
Lemm could step in if WVU loses Logan Sauve to the MLB Draft or be ready as his eventual replacement at catcher even if he returns to school.
