The WVU football staff will have a chance to impress a transfer recruit on Friday. South Alabama transfer safety Jaden Voisin called off a scheduled visit to an SEC school to instead take a trip to Morgantown.

Voisin confirmed a report from On3.com that he called off his visit with Mississippi State and will be checking out WVU to kickoff the weekend. He has one year left of eligibility.

The first-team All-Sun Belt player announced his intentions to transfer on Christmas Eve and then reiterated that his recruitment is 100% open on the second day of 2024. He also had an official visit scheduled with Florida before deciding to not actually take one as well.

Voisin, a 6-foot, 205-pound redshirt junior posted 71 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, seven pass breakups for South Alabama during the 2023 season.

He was graded as one of the top safeties in the entire country by PFF with a 83.8 defensive grade, ranking 14th nationally and second in the Sun Belt.

Overall throughout his career, Voisin has totaled 156 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, 12 pass breakups and six interceptions.

You can find Voisin and other transfer players listed on our partner the Portal Report’s database.
