Troy Transfer Jackson Fields Commits to WVU Basketball

WVU basketball has landed another transfer, this time Troy forward Jackson Fields, according to a report by Jeff Goodman Sunday morning.
Fileds (6-foot-8) averaged 7.9 points and 4.8 rebounds as a junior for the Trojans this past season.

Jackson Fields, a native Texan, played three seasons at Troy and will have one year of eligibility remaining. He’s played in 95 career games and made 60 total starts.
He started all but one of Troy’s 34 games this past season, shooting 47.5% from the floor and 33.3% from three. Fields has averaged 6.0 points and 3.9 rebounds in his career.
Fields is the fourth transfer to commit to the Mountaineers, joining Chattanooga’s Honor Huff, UNC-Wilmingtonโs Harlan Obiohaย andย North Texasโs Brenen Lorient. High school recruitย DeAndre Thomas Jr. has also committed to WVU.

I was thinking the same thing. I’m sure there are some legit players outside of the power 4 conferences that are worthy of picking up. However, we need to start gathering higher-end transfer talent from the power 4 schools.
