MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Former WVU HC Bob Huggins represented current guard Kerr Kriisa for Senior Night prior to the TCU game on Wednesday. After Kriisa walked down the carpet, the two embraced each other with a hug.

This marks the first time Huggins has publicly walked out on the coliseum floor since his resignation in June. Huggins has been an active attendee during the home games this season.

Through 20 games, Kriisa is averaging 11.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists on 43% three-point shooting. Kriisa missed the first nine games of the season after being suspended for receiving unauthorized benefits while at Arizona. Kriisa has another year of eligibility with his COVID option if he chooses it use it.

Kriisa played three seasons at Arizona from 2020-23 under head coaches Sean Miller and Tommy Lloyd. Last offseason, Kriisa entered the transfer portal, eventually committing to West Virginia in April while Huggins was still the head coach. After the transition from Huggins to interim HC Josh Eilert in June, Kriisa tested the transfer portal waters once again before staying with Eilert’s staff.
