Mountaineers in the Pros

Watch: Pat McAfee, Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones Discuss Attending Backyard Brawl

A conversation many WVU alums are having took place between two Mountaineer legends.

When Adam “Pacman” Jones stopped by to say hi to Pat McAfee, the former NFL cornerback had one big question for the media tycoon. “You going to the Backyard Brawl?!,” Jones asked his fellow WVU great with excitement. McAfee responded with a “I think so” before Jones let him know he will indeed be at Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium on September first. They then discussed travel arrangements. Jones now needs to turn McAfee’s “I think so” into a sure thing.

The famous saying of “once a Mountaineer, always a Mountaineer” definitely holds true for these two.

The only shame for these two and Mountaineer Nation is they weren’t able to ever be teammates in Morgantown. Jones left for the NFL in 2005 right as McAfee was about to graduate high school and embark on his college career in West Virginia.
