West Virginia Adds Commitment from 2025 PA Lineman
West Virginia added another recruit to its quickly growing class of 2025 after hosting prospects all week.
Thomas Barr — a 6-foot-4, 290-pound offensive lineman from The Haverford School in Haverford, Pa. — announced his commitment to WVU Thursday night, committing to the Mountaineers over Lafayette and UMass.
“After a great phone call with (Matt Moore), (Neal Brown) and (Chad Scott), I am excited to announce that I have committed to West Virginia University,” Barr wrote on X (Twitter).

West Virginia extended Moore his first Division I offer last June, following a camp appearance (along with camp appearances at Maryland, Pitt and Virginia Tech), and the Mountaineers continued to stay in touch throughout the last nine months.
Scott and Moore invited Barr out for Junior Day in January, and two months later, he came back for a spring practice in March. Now he’s officially the newest Mountaineer.
Barr was an interior offensive lineman at Haverford as a junior, playing in a very tough league out in the Philadelphia area, and his combination of size and speed stand out on film.
The national recruiting services (247Sports, Rivals and On3) haven’t rated Barr yet, but as he’s committed to WVU (and received his two newest offers this year, it’s only a matter of time.
Barr isn’t the biggest name, but he’s a big, athletic offensive lineman who clearly caught the eye of the coaching staff early — after an in-person evaluation.
WVU currently holds four commitments in the class of 2025 — three-star quarterback Scotty Fox (Mentor, Ohio), three-star wide receiver Tyshawn Dues (Hurricane, W.Va.) and three-star cornerback Zah Jackson (Huntington, W.Va.).
With the summer of official visits fast approaching, there should be quite a few more commitments in the coming weeks and months.
