West Virginia Extends Offer to JUCO G Jordan Brinson

West Virginia basketball continues to hit the JUCO market as they extended an offer to Jordan Brinson on Saturday night. Brinson made the announcement on his Twitter.

Brinson (6-foot-2, 175 pounds) played at Salt Lake CC in Utah after spending a season at Utah Valley under head coach Mark Madsen. Madsen played in the NBA for nine seasons, winning two NBA Finals with the Los Angeles Lakers. At UVU, Brinson averaged 5.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists through 12 games. The Inglewood, CA, native spent a season at UAB prior to his short stint at Utah Valley.

This past year in JUCO, Brinson averaged 13.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists through 37 games. Brinson shot 57 percent from the field and 35 percent from three as he led his team to the NJCAA National Title game. Brinson faced other WVU offered players such as Jimmy Bell Jr. and Deshawndre Washington.

Brinson will have three years of eligibility remaining.
