West Virginia in hot pursuit of 2020 Virginia defensive line commit

Over the weekend, West Virginia hosted 2020 defensive lineman Jeffrey M’ba of St. Thomas More HS in Oakdale, CT. M’ba is originally from France and excelled with his team overseas, so he’s now getting an opportunity to play in the States.

He is currently committed to Virginia, but he noted he still wants to go through the entire recruiting process. “I’m not from here, so I want to see all of the schools and not have any regrets.” he said.

The trip to Morgantown seemed to have went well and he plans on making a return trip in the future, “I came with my uncle and it was a very long trip, but the mountains in West Virginia were really insane.” he said. “The facilities were amazing, you have all the conditions to be a great player and it seems like a great place to mature as a player and is a great place to be. I’m going to come back to take an official visit for sure.” he added.

M’ba’s lead recruiter is defensive backs coach Jahmile Addae and the two seem to have already developed a pretty strong connection according to Jeffrey, “I love coach Addae and Brian Bennett. They were really good with me and they don’t act fake. You know they really love what they do and they treat you like family, which is what’s most important to me.”

M’ba currently has over 24 offers, but says that West Virginia and North Carolina stand out to him along with Virginia.
