The West Virginia football program has lost another player to the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Rivals.com was the first to report that redshirt sophomore offensive tackle Parker Moorer has decided to leave the Mountaineers program and play elsewhere. Moorer was a 3-star recruit in WVU’s Class of 2019 and signed with West Virginia over other Power Five offers from Indiana, Louisville, Maryland, Rutgers, Syracuse and Virginia.

The 6-foot-4, 308 pound native of Charlotte, North Carolina redshirted his freshman season and then played in all 10 games during the 2020 season. Moorer was used on 135 snaps, including 20 or more snaps in four games. In West Virginia’s Liberty Bowl Game against Army, he played a season-high 44 plays. This season, Moorer also played in 10 games and made five starts.

Moorer becomes the 8th player to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal since the start of the 2021 season.
