West Virginia Opens as Underdog Against TCU

It’s been a rough few weeks for West Virginia, losing back-to-back Big 12 games against Texas Tech and Baylor, before last week’s bye, and the odds that WVU bounces back this week aren’t too encouraging.

The Mountaineers open as a two-point underdog against TCU this week, with the over/under set at 56.5 points in a game at Amon Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas.

FanDuel Sportsbook has sliiiightly shorter odds for WVU, with TCU set as a 4.5 point favorite. A bet against the spread for WVU holds -106 odds while the same bet for TCU holds -114 odds. The over/under is set at 57.5 points, and the over holds -115 odds while the under holds -105 odds. A moneyline bet for WVU has +172 odds while the same for TCU has -215 odds.

WVU is 3-3 against the spread this season while TCU is 1-4-1. WVU has lost three in a row, and TCU has lost three of its last four games.

The Mountaineers won their last matchup against TCU, 24-6 last November, and leads the all-time series 6-4. WVU is riding a three-game win streak over the Horned Frogs.
