West Virginia’s Bob Huggins Named Naismith Coach of the Year Semifinalist

West Virginia University men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins is one of 10 semifinalists for the Werner Ladder Naismtih Men’s Coach of the Year award, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced Friday morning.

Huggins and Baylor’s Scott Drew are the only two among the 10 semifinalists from Big 12 schools.

The WVU coach has 899 career wins and can get No. 900 in Saturday’s regular season finale at home against Oklahoma State.

  • Mark Few, Gonzaga
  • Leonard Hamilton, Florida State

  • Nate Oats, Alabama
