Wright comes away impressed with West Virginia

Last night I was able to catch up with 2019 athlete Winston Wright Jr., Wright is a 5’9″ 170 pound recruit out of Savannah, Georgia which is being recruited as a wide receiver by the Mountaineers. Yesterday, Wright attended the first of what will be many prospect camps held at WVU this summer and he came away rather impressed, “It’s something amazing out there. I’ve never seen the campus until yesterday and it is filled with great people, so it exceeded my expectations.”

When I asked Wright what intrigued him about West Virginia he then responded by saying, “I know Coach Carrier is going to get me where I want to go and that is the next level. He knows a lot about the game and how to make good receivers.”

Wright Jr. originally announced that his decision date would be June 9th, but after speaking with him last night he has decided to push that date back a little. He is currently down to West Virginia and Boston College.
