WVU 4-Star Target Eric Reibe Reveals Timeline in Recruitment

Eric Reibe, 2025 four-star center, spoke with WV Sports Now last weekend after revealing his top 11 schools. Reibe included West Virginia with a group of Connecticut, Creighton, Harvard, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oregon and Stanford.

Reibe, 7-foot, does not have any visits officially scheduled for the end of the summer and the fall but is working on getting those set. For a commitment, Reibe wants to get it done within a few months to focus on other things.

“I want to commit before National Signing Day because I want to have the rest of my senior year to prepare for college, focus on my last high school season and finish up with good grades so I’m not stressing about it,” he said. “I want to take all of my visits end of August to the middle of September.”

Reibe currently plays at The Bullis School in Maryland as a rising senior. Reibe most recently played for Germany’s U18 team in the European Championship. The 7-footer recorded 10 rebounds in group play, where he appeared in 29 minutes combined through two games.

“I play kind of a European style but I came here early enough to where I play the American style. I’m used to both. I play inside and outside at 7-feet,” Reibe said.

Reibe talked to WVSN about his connection with WVU through associate head coach Chester Frazier. Reibe and Frazier have been connected for over a year now and talk frequently. Reibe and Frazier have a connection through the DMV area with the 2025 recruit hailing currently from Potomac, Md. For Reibe, his connection with Frazier is much more than a coach.

“With [Frazier], how he talks to me, it’s more than just coaching. He is also interested in me as a person, not just a player. We talk about all kinds of stuff about my real life, not just on the court. He’s a coach, he’s a friend, he’s just all in one,” Reibe said.
