WVU Football DL Evan Powell Changes Mind Again, Finds New School

WVU football defensive lineman Evan Powell has changed his mind for the third time since West Virginia’s coaching transition from Neal Brown to Rich Rodriguez.
Powell was initially one of the first 2025 recruits to withdraw his commitment after Brown was fired. He then decided to sign with West Virginia about a week later, but it now tuns out he will move on after all.
On the heels of WVU’s spring practice period, the 6-foot-4, 245-pound Powell has decided to flip from West Virginia to East Carolina.
For his connection to East Carolina, Powell’s young brother is a wide receiver for the Pirates.
