WVU Football safety recruit Ladarian Clardy

The WVU football staff often cast a wide net in recruiting. They try to find diamonds in the ruff, but also make an attempt at some big time prospects as well. And on Monday, one of those highly coveted recruits added the Mountaineers to his list of offers.

Ladarian Clardy, a four-star safety in the 2025 class, revealed he received an offer from West Virginia. Clardy, a Florida product who attends Escambia High School in Pensacola, is regarded as one of the top 50 players in Florida by multiple major recruiting outlets.

He holds a four-star rating from both 247S ports and Rivals. 247 Sports even has him rated as high as the No. 15 prospect in the state and the No. 13 safety in the country.

Clardy still has one more season left of high school football, but is coming off a 2023 campaign that saw him record 57 tackles, four interceptions, eight pass deflected and one forced fumble.

In addition to WVU, Clardy has offers from Duke, FAU, Kentucky, Tulane, UCF and Wake Forest among many others.
