WVU Seeking Revenge For 2014

Published

on

Three years ago, West Virginia fans enjoyed a College Gameday atmosphere against Texas Christian in Morgantown. With a chilly 3:30 kickoff looming, the Mountaineers were prepared to capture its seventh win of the season after taking down a top-5 Baylor team and a stout Oklahoma State team just the week prior.

West Virginia jumped out to an early 13-point lead and even held a 9-point lead well into the 4th quarter. The Mountaineers kept shooting themselves in the foot, however, time and time again with 5 turnovers – all of which were in Mountaineer territory. The last 3 Mountaineer drives were all 3-and-outs despite West Virginia only needing one first down on their last drive to seal the win. The last drive was disappointing, to say the least, and Trevone Boykin led the Horned Frogs down the field to set up a game-winning 37-yard field goal.

The first two games West Virginia and Texas Christian played in Milan Puskar stadium ended in heartbreak. We avenged those losses to some degree last year, but this year it’s time to take the ultimate revenge and ruin their Gameday just like they ruined ours.

WVU plays TCU on FS1 at 3:30 est.
