WVU Three-Star Wide Receiver Commit Jarel Williams Helping Fuel Saraland Turnaround
After a slow start to the season, Saraland High School in Saraland, Alabama has rattled off four consecutive victories.
A big reason why has been the play of West Virginia 2022 three-star wide receiver Jarel Williams. In Saraland’s 0-2 start, Williams only caught five passes for 51 yards and no touchdowns. In the four games since, he’s caught 22 passes for 314 yards and five touchdowns. All four games resulting in wins.
On the season, Williams has caught 27 passes for 365 yards and five scores at a clip of 13.5 yards per catch and just under 61 yards per game.

Williams has flashed his size and shiftiness as a senior after an excellent junior with 800 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. At 6-foot-3, 175 pounds, Williams possesses superior size and the ability to use his frame to maximize his game as a wideout.
Saraland faces a tough test this week against unbeaten Spanish Fort High School this Friday at 7 p.m.
