WVU Women’s Basketball to Face Duke in Greenbrier Tip-Off

The WVU Women’s basketball team will play against Duke in the Greenbrier Tip-Off on Friday, Nov. 14 as announced by the Greenbrier Wednesday.

The game will be in the Colonial Hall at The Greenbrier.

It will be the just the third time Duke and WVU have ever played each other, with the first game being in 1996.

West Virginia head coach Mark Kellogg alluded to the top-10 opponent in a press conference Monday, when he announced home-and-home series’ against Georgia Tech, Villanova and Temple.

Tickets will go on sale on Aug. 21 with a pre-sale happening on Aug. 20.

WVU and Duke nearly saw each other last season in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, but the Mountaineers fell to UNC.

Duke finished last season 29-8 and was ranked No. 7 in the last AP Poll on April 6.
