2021 Offensive lineman “shocked” by West Virginia offer

Published

on

Earlier this week, West Virginia extended an offer to 2021 offensive lineman Jager Burton of Lexington, Kentucky. Along with his offer from the Mountaineers, he also holds offers from Purdue and Kentucky. Neal Brown will have the tall task of luring him away from his hometown university which is indeed UK.

Burton is a 6’4″ 275 pound offensive guard that can play multiple positions up front and could even slide to the center spot at the next level, but is best suited at guard.

When I asked Burton what his first impressions of the offer he replied, “Shock and then excitement especially with how good of a direction the program is going in.”

It is too early in the recruiting process for most 2021 recruits to get a real good gauge on where they would like to visit, but he said it is a place he “for sure” wants to visit.
