2026 WVU Football Transfer Portal Additions Tracker

Now that the transfer portal is open and the WVU football staff is starting to enjoy success, West Virginia Sports Now offers a place to find every new addition.

Below will be an updated list of every incoming new Mountaineer from the January transfer portal window.

DL Will LeBlanc (D II UT-Permian Basin)

LeBlanc comes to WVU from UT-Permian Basin. He started in 2025 after taking a redshirt year in 2024.

He made 32 tackles, five tackles for a loss, had four quarterback hits, 1.5 sacks and recorded one fumble recovery last season.

LB Isaiah Patterson (UNLV)

WVU will be Patterson’s third school in as many years after redshirting his freshman season at UCLA and playing in eight games at UNLV last year. He finished the 2025 season with 46 total tackles, 20 solo and 1.5 tackles for loss.

WR Prince Strachan (USC)

Wide out Prince Strachan, listed at 6-foot-5, 215-pounds, confirmed reports of his commitment on Jan. 4. He spent last season with USC after playing for Boise State for two years.

Strachan only appeared in one game with USC, catching a single pass for 25 yards. However, he made 25 receptions for 304 yards and scored a touchdown with the Broncos. While with Boise State, he made four big catches for 40 yards against Penn State in the Fiesta Bowl.

USC WR Prince Strachan Commits to Transfer to WVU Football

Having grown up in The Bahamas, Strachan and did not begin playing football until 2019 after moving to the United States. He then played high school football at John Carroll High School in Florida.

QB Michael Hawkins Jr. (Oklahoma)

Hawkinsโ€™ decision to move from the SEC to West Virginia in the Big 12 will now provide Rich Rodriguez with the talented dual-threat quarterback to compete with incumbent Scotty Fox to lead the Mountaineers in 2026 and beyond.

Hawkins spent Saturday on an official visit with the West Virginia staff. Sources told WV Sports Now that he was WVUโ€™s top transfer target.

In two seasons with the Sooners, the 6-foot-1, 196-pound Hawkins completed a total of 91-of-147 passes for 950 yards with six touchdown passes to two interceptions. He added 262 yards and a touchdown on the ground

A four-star recruit from the 2024 class, Hawkins drew offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, Memphis, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina State, North Texas, Penn State, SMU, TCU, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech and a several others out of high school.

DB Maliek Hawkins (Oklahoma)

Hawkins, 6-foot-0, 189-pounds, spent one season with Oklahoma. He appeared in just one game.

Prior to his college career, Hawkins was rated as a four-star prospect by multipole national recruiting services. His commitment comes in conjunction with his brother, Michael, also locking in with the Mountaineers on Monday after an official visit over the weekend.

Maliek Hawkins will bring all four years of eligibility with him to West Virginia.

CB Geimere Latimer (Wisconsin)ย 

Latimer will now reunite with Rich Rodriguez, who he played under for two years at Jacksonville State. In 27 games under Rodriguez, Latimer posted 56 tackles and picked off four passes.

With only one year remaining, Latimer will now finish his college eligibility in the Big 12 at WVU after spending the 2025 season in the Big Ten with Wisconsin. He made 23 tackles and caused a forced fumble with the Badgers.

Latimer has 79 total tackles across three college seasons to this point.

WR DJ Epps (Troy)ย 

The Alabama native caught 47 passes for 512 yards and scored five touchdowns in 2025. He also served as Troyโ€™s kick returner at times, totaling 554 yards off 23 returns and a log that went for 79 yards.

Epps was a redshirt in 2022, only took six snaps in 2023 and then appeared in six games as a sophomore in 2024.

In addition to WVU, Epps also spoke with Cincinnati, Kansas and Iowa State after the transfer portal opened on Jan. 2. He was set to visit Cincinnati on Jan. 9 before deciding to lock in with West Virginia.

RB Cam Cook (Jacksonville State)

Cam Cook (5-foot-11 and 200 pounds) will now bring his talents to West Virginia after an historic 2025 season with Jacksonville State. He ran for 1,659 yards on 295 carries for an average of 5.6 yards per touch. Cook score 16 touchdowns and also added 30 receptions and 296 yards as a receiver. His total came without even playing in the Gamecocks’ bowl game.

Cook was named Conference USA Player of the Year and to multiple major All-American teams.

Helping his transition from Conference USA, Cook is already familiar with the Big 12. Prior to transferring to Jacksonville State, Cook spent two years at TCU and totaled 608 yards and nine touchdowns off 135 rushing attempts with the Horned Frogs.

LB Malachi Hood (Illinois)ย 

The addition of Hood, 6-foot-2, 235 pounds, provides West Virginia with a productive Power Four transfer with starting experience. Hood recorded 44 total tackles, 28 solo stops, a pass deflection, a sack and a forced fumble in 2025.

After jumping in the portal on the first day it opened on Jan. 2, Hood will jump from the Big Ten to the Big 12 with the possibility of two years of eligibility. Hood, who already has his degree, will have at least one more season left and would have two depending on the resolution of his attempt at a medical redshirt.

Edge David Afogho (Bowling Green)

David Afogho (6-foot-3 and 245 pounds) announced his commitment following an official visit, coming to West Virginia after spending three years with the Falcons.

Heโ€™s totaled 38 tackles, four tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks to this point in his career.

Safety Kamari Wilson (Memphis)ย 

Memphis safety Kamari Wilson (6-foot-1 and 210 pounds) will transfer to West Virginia and join his fourth college program. Wilson spent time at both Florida and Arizona State before Memphis.

In 2025, he recorded 84 total tackles, 45 solo stops, four pass deflections, a sack, and a pair of forced fumbles and fumble recoveries. He posted 11 tackles in 2024 with the Sun Devils, providing some brief Big 12 experience, and made 40 tackles in two years with the Gators in the SEC.

LB Tyler Stolsky (FAU)ย 

Stolsky has now found his third school after spending one season at Florida Atlantic and his first two years in the Big Ten at Minnesota.

The Mountaineers could now provide the 6-foot-3, 225-pound Stolsky an opportunity to return to the Power Four level, something his production with the Owls signals he could be ready for again. He made 34 total tackles in two seasons with the Golden Gophers.

Stolsky totaled 86 tackles, 41 solo stops, a pair of pass deflections and a sack in 2025. He entered the transfer portal on the first official day it opened on Jan. 2.

OL David Vass (Kansas State)ย 

Vass, a redshirt sophomore, will have two years of eligibility remaining upon joining the Mountaineers.

The 6-foot-6, 308-pounder saw action in 11 of 12 games this season for the Wildcats, who finished the season at 6-6 overall after beginning the campaign ranked No. 17 in the AP poll.

Vass didnโ€™t see any field action in 2024 after redshirting his true freshman season in 2023.

CB Andrew Powdrell (UNLV)ย 

Listed at 5-foot-10 and 185-pounds, Powdrell started all 14 games for UNLV in 2025. He recorded 63 tackles and 5 pass breakups.

OL Wes King (Wyoming)ย 

Wyoming interior offensive line transfer Wes King will head to West Virginia. The 6-foot-5, 313-pounder started 12 games for Wyoming in 2025 and has 33 stars under his belt in total.

WR TaRon Francis (LSU)ย 

Francis (6-foot-1 and 207 pounds) did not record any stats in his limited time as a true freshman in 2025 โ€“ he appeared in fives games and was mostly involved on special teams, but was a four-star prospect out of high school.

The New Orleans native has also heard from BYU, Louisville, Utah, Wake Forest and Washington State. He was considered a consensus four-star out of high school.

Francisโ€™ bigger size makes him a unique target for the WVU offense based on the current wide receiver transfer commits and who was brought in as part of the 2026 recruiting class.

OL Cameron Griffin (Jacksonville State)

Griffin (6-foot-4, 305-pounds) comes to WVU after spending three years with the Gamecocks and appearing in 33 games and 16 starts.

In 2025, Griffin played left tackle, left guard and even center while playing a total of 971 snaps. He was named first-team all-Conference USA.

Griffin will continuing blocking for star running back Cam Cook, who also committed to become a Mountaineer.

OL Carsten Cassidy (UConn)ย 

The 6-foot-7 and 300-pound Cassidy comes to Morgantown without ever allowing a sack in his carer. 247 Sports ranks Cassidy as their No. 23 offensive tackle.

WR John Neider (UConn)ย 

UConn transfer wide out John Neider revealed his commitment to West Virginia on social media. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Neider is coming off a productive season, catching 27 passes for 422 yards and scoring a pair of touchdowns.

Neider started five games in 2025, his third year with UConn. After a redshirt first year, Neider appeared mostly on special teams in 2024.

P Bryan Hansen (Colorado State)

The 6-foot-3 and 210-pound Hansen recorded 57 punts in 2025 for an average of 47.9 per boot. He had 13 downed inside the 20 and rocketed 23 over 50-plus yards.

Also having kicked kickoffs in the past, Hansen has totaled 6,667 yards and 55 touchbacks on 106 attempts in his career.

DL Harper Holloman (Western Kentucky)ย 

The 6-foot-2, 255-pound Holloman announced his commitment on Instagram on Friday. Heโ€™s coming to West Virginia off a season that saw him start every game and record 39 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss and add two sacks.

Holloman has appeared in 21 games in total throughout his two seasons of college football.

K Peter Notaro (Alabama)

A native of Western Pennsylvania who played high school football at North Allegheny High School in the prestigious WPIAL, Notaro spent his true freshman season as a redshirt at Alabama.

He served as the backup placekicker and played in two games, making five extra points in as many tries while kicking off five times for a combined 317 yards with two touchbacks.

OL Amareโ€™ Grayson (Jacksonville State)ย 

The 6-foot-3, 310-pound Grayson comes to West Virginia with two years left of eligibility. He spent the past two seasons with the Gamecocks, playing under Rich Rodriguez in 2024 and Trickett as his position coach in 2025.

DB Chams Diagne (Georgia State)ย 

From Georgia State, to a junior college and then back again, Diagne has been in college football since 2022. He made six tackles in 11 games played upon his return to Georgia State in 2024 and then stepped up his game even more in 2025.

He totaled 25 tackles, broke up three passes and picked off a pass against Ole Miss.

K Jack Cassidy (Western Kentucky)

Cassidy handled kickoff duties for the Hilltoppers in 2025, recording touchbacks on 51 of his 72 kickoffs. He did kick a few field goals as well, successfully making kicks from 55, 53, and 41 yards.

Cassidy started his carer overseas at the University of Ulster before coming to America and has one year left of eligibility.

TE Josh Sapp (Clemson)ย 

Sapp, listed at 6-foot-2 and 235 pounds, is a redshirt junior and brings starting experience to West Virginia.

He was part of a career-high 267 snaps in 2025, making 11 catches for 150 yards. Sapp has 273 receiving yards with two touchdowns in his college career.

TE Cam Ball (Mississippi State)ย 

Known as a blocking tight end, the 6-foot-7 and 250-pound Ball will spend his final year of eligibility in Morgantown.

After starting his college career with Buffalo in 2023, Ball moved up to Mississippi State in the SEC.

DB Jaire Rawlison (Kent State)ย 

Rawlison will transfer to West Virginia after spending two seasons with Kent State. He recorded 54 total tackles in 2025 after posting only 21 in limited time the year prior.

Rawlison also registered seven pass deflections and a half of a sack during his time with the Golden Flashes.

Edge Tobi Haastrup (Oregon)

Oregon edge Tobi Haastrup will move across the country from Oregon to join the WVU football program, per On3 Sportsโ€™ Hayes Fawcett.

Haastrup (6-foot-4 and 240 pounds), former four-star recruit, made one tackle in three appearances for the Ducks in 2025. He will bring four full years of eligibility with him to West Virginia.

A native of London, England, Haastrup played high school football at Mayde Creek.

Safety Jacob Bradford (LSU)ย 

Bradford comes to Morgantown as a redshirt freshman after one year in Baton Rouge. He appeared mostly on special teams in 2025.

The redshirt freshman comes to Morgantown after on year in Baton Rouge.

Prior to LSU, Bradford was regarded as one of the top recruits in the country as part of the 2025 class. He was ranked as the No. 16 safety by 247 Sports.

DE Ezekiel Durham-Campbell (Coastal Carolina)ย 

Durham-Campbell, listed at around 6-foot-5 and 247 pounds, played for Coastal Carolina in 2025 after spending the prior two seasons at Louisiana Tech. In 2025, he recorded 39 total tackles, deflected a pass and forced two fumbles. He picked up 21 total tackles in two years with Louisiana Tech.

The Georgia native started his college career at Lenoirโ€“Rhyne University, making 23 tackles in 11 games in 2022.ย 

He was a first-team all-state and all region selection at Marietta High School.

Baylor, Kentucky, SMU, Syracuse and UCF also extended offers to Durham-Campbell.

LB Jason Hall (Villanova)ย 

In 2025, Hall, listed at 6-foot-2 and 235 pounds, totaled 40 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss and 3.5 sacks as a redshirt sophomore. He appeared in 14 games as a reserve linebacker in 2024, recording four tackles and a forced fumble.

Hall will transfer despite not publicly revealing his intentions to enter the portal.

A native of Fall River, Mass., Hall earned All-State honors as a star on both sides of the ball at Suffield Academy. Hall rushed for 1,180 yards and scored 16 touchdowns in just five games as a senior.

FB Kayden Luke (Arizona)ย 

Luke, listed at 5-foot-11 and 249-pounds, spent the past two seasons with the Wildcats. He ran for 20 yards on five carries.

But despite limited time in college with Arizona, Luke put up big numbers in high school.

The Arizona native totaled 3,609 rushing yards and scored 52 touchdowns on 451 carries including recording 2,307 yards and 29 touchdowns as a senior in 2023.

Safety Kameron Reddic (Stephen F. Austin)

The Stephen F. Austin transfer will provide further depth for the West Virginia secondary.

Reddic, a Houston, Texas native, comes to Morgantown after spending two years with Stephen F. Austin. Heโ€™s coming off a 2025 season that saw him record 42 total tackles, four pass deflections and one interception.

Reddic made nine tackles in seven games as a ย freshman in 2024. He now has two years left of eligibility remaining.
