2027 Texas QB Andre Phillip Follows Home Visit by Booking OV

To follow up his home visit with a WVU football coach, quarterback prospect Andre Phillip II will spend a full weekend in Morgantown in early June.

Phillip announced his official visit is scheduled for June 5-7 a few days after spending time with West Virginia quarterbacks coach Rhett Rodriguez.

Rodriguez spent time with 2027 prospect Andre Phillip II at his home in Spring, Texas. Phillip, listed at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds, then posted about his experience with Rodriguez on X (formerly Twitter).

“Thank you Rhett Rodriguez for stopping by and visiting with me and my family. It’s always a pleasure. Looking forward to visiting WVU football in a few weeks for my OV,” said Phillip.

The home visit came about a month and a half after receiving an official offer from the Mountaineers and a few weeks before Phillip’s trip to West Virginia to spend a full weekend in Morgantown.

A multi-sport athlete at Klein Oak High School, Phillip also has a Big 12 offer from Iowa State and opportunities from service academies Air Force, Army and Navy. Rice has shown interest, too.
