Big 12-Big East Battle Extended Through 2024-25 Season

The Big 12 and Big East conferences announced on Monday afternoon that the Big 12-Big East Battle will be extended through the 2024-25 season. Starting in the 2023-24 edition of the battle, the number of games will be extended to 11, as the Big 12 will expand to 14 teams and the Big East currently has 11.

The Big 12 and Big East first started the competition back in 2019. The two conferences matchup teams together to compete in late November and December for bragging rights.

The two conferences tied in 2020 and 2021 while the Big East won the first edition of the battle, 8-2.

CREIGHTON @ TEXAS

OKLAHOMA @ VILLANOVA

WEST VIRGINIA @ XAVIER

ST. JOHN’S @ IOWA STATE

West Virginia is 2-1 in the battle between the Big East schools over the past three seasons, defeating UConn and Georgetown, and losing to St. John’s in 2019.
