Big 12 Utilizing Six-Day Window for WVU Football at Houston
After a chance to get back on track at home against TCU, WVU football will hit the road again the following week. And on Monday, the Big 12 announced a delay in when the kickoff time and network for West Virginia’s next game will be revealed.
The Big 12 is exerting the conference’s six-day window option before deciding on the details of West Virginia’s trip to Houston.
But before WVU can worry about the Cougars, who are currently 6-1 and 3-1 in the Big 12, they will meet TCU in Morgantown this weekend.
WVU a big underdog at home this week…
Coming off a 45-13 loss at UCF โ a game Rich Rodriguez hopes is bottom โ the new week opens with West Virginia as a 14.5-point underdog to TCU.
Both DraftKings and FanDuel are predicting the Horned Frogs to dominate the Mountaineers. And WVU doesnโt find some way to show signs of life, thatโs exactly whatโs going to happen.
At 2-5 overall and 0-4 in the Big 12, thereโs not much for even the most optimistic WVU fan to point to as a sign of better days to come. The hope has to be in Rodriguez and the belief he will fulfill his promise to make West Virginia great again, granted that may take more time than initially advertised.
Conversely, TCU still has plenty left to play for. The Horned Frogs enter Week 9 at 5-2, granted theyโre only 2-2 within the Big 12. TCU is looking to build a win steak after pulling out a win in a shootout against Baylor.
