Breaking: WVU RB Jahiem White Expected to Miss Rest of Season
The news WVU fans have been dreading since Saturday night is now looking to be a reality. Jahiem White is expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury against Ohio. Mat Zenitz of CBS Sports was first to break the news on Monday.
Aside from briefly discussing his team’s poor effort in their 17-10 loss to Ohio, WVU head coach Rich Rodriguez provided an update on Jahiem White during his postgame talk with reporters.
White left the game before halftime after a series of events that made Mountaineer fans fear for the worst. Rodriguez simply said “it didn’t look good from the sideline” when asked for a White update after the game. He then added he will learn more when he talks to the medical team.
White went down late in the first half after the combination of a horse caller and face mask sent him to the ground. He was eventually helped off the field and then carted to the locker room.
At the time of his exit, White had ran for 40 yards on six carries with a touchdown. His 2025 season ends after just 24 carries and 133 yards. He scored two touchdowns in the season opening win over Robert Morris.
