The first of two West Virginia targets will announce his commitment today at 4:00 PM.

2022 3-star strong-side defensive end Q’yaeir Price will be announcing his college decision today at 4, he announced via Twitter, and it appears he’s narrowed his decision down to just a couple of schools.

Price (6-foot-4, 250 pounds) plays for DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, New Jersey, racking up 41 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, a forced fumble and recovery in just six games last season. He has offers from Akron, Army, Boston College, Buffalo, UCONN, Howard, Indiana, Kansas, Kent State, Liberty, Maryland, UMASS, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, WVU and William & Mary.

With official visits to both WVU and Syracuse, it appears that Price has narrowed down his decision to the two schools after announcing his Top 10 back in March. Price visited WVU on June 24, with 3-star athlete Tommy Winton and running back Demond Claiborne.

According to 247Sports, Price is the 696th-ranked recruit in the cycle. 247Sports rated him as the 102nd-ranked defensive lineman and 14th-ranked recruit from New Jersey. Rivals rates him as the 35th-ranked strong-side defensive end and the 11th-ranked recruit from new Jersey.

It appears that WVU will have to pull off somewhat of an upset, with both 247Sports and Rivals projecting Price to land with Syracuse.

An hour and a half after Price’s decision, WVU will learn whether 3-star athlete Christion Stokes will commit to WVU too in a busy day of recruiting for the Mountaineers.
