ESPN Broadcast Crew Revealed for Duke’s Mayo Bowl
The Mountaineers are hoping to see tons of WVU fans at the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, but the members of Mountaineer Nation unable to be in Charlotte will be able to watch at home on ESPN.
And if you will be watching the game on television, you will be hearing a common ESPN announce team call the game. Matt Barrie will be on play-by-play, former coach Dan Mullen will serve as the analyst and Harry Lyles Jr. will fill the reporter role for ESPN’s broadcast of the game.

The Duke’s Mayo Bowl pits the 8-4 (6-3) Mountaineers out of the Big 12 against the ACC’s 8-4 (4-4) Tar Heels. Oddsmakers have West Virginia as the favorite, especially since North Carolina will be without NFL Draft prospects quarterback Drake Maye, wide receiver Tez Walker other notable players.

The 2023 Duke’s Mayo Bowl marks the 40th bowl appearance for West Virginia, with North Carolina now the opponent in three of those 40 contests. The only matchups between WVU and UNC throughout history have been bowl games.
