ESPN’s BPI Names Mountaineers No. 5 in the Country

Nearly three months from the first game of the 2018 season, ESPN has released its Basketball Power Index (BPI) and have West Virginia as the 5th best team in the nation.
According to ESPN, the Mountaineers boast the 14th best offense and the 4th best defense in college basketball heading into next season.
Head coach Bob Huggins will need to find suitable replacements for Jevon Carter and Daxter Miles Jr. if he plans on improving from last season’s Sweet Sixteen run.
Big XII foe Kansas was tabbed No. 1.
