Former WVU Wide Receiver David Sills V Lands on New York Giants’ Practice Squad
Former Mountaineers wide receiver David Sills V may not have made the active roster for the New York Giants this season, but he’s not going anywhere just yet.
The Record Sports’ Art Stapleton reported that the Giants re-signed Sills to their practice squad, giving him a chance to work his way to the active roster at some point this season.

After a good preseason for Sills, recording seven catches for 94 yards and a touchdown with the Giants, it was somewhat of a surprise to see him cut and not signed off waivers by another NFL team. However, the Giants saw enough to keep him around in at least some capacity.
Sills first signed with the Giants’ practice squad exactly two years ago today, eventually making it to the active roster later that season. His 2020 season with the Giants was marred by COVID-19 and injuries, leaving him unable to make an impact.
