WVU Football WR Jeffrey Weimer

A day after announcing the signing of a bunch of transfers additions, the WVU football program added one more player to the mix.

Idaho State transfer wide receiver Jeffrey Weimer revealed his commitment to West Virginia on Friday night.

Weimer (6-foot-2, 204 pounds), a California native, caught 75 passes for 1,016 yards and scored six touchdowns in 2024, his only season with the Idaho State Bengals. He also spent time at UNLV and City College of San Francisco, which earns him an extra year of eligibility based on the new NCAA rules about junior colleges.

WVU sent Weimer an offer on Jan. 15, just two days after he thanked Idaho State for his year there.

He will now end his college career as a Mountaineer.
