WVU Football Recruiting
WVU Football Wasting No Time in Pursuit of 2026 4-Star Pennsylvania QB

One of West Virginia’s most recent high school offers could fit Rich Rodriguez’s offense perfectly. Rodriguez even sent one of his coaches to meet the four-star quarterback days after extending him an offer.
Rodriguez and his WVU football staff sent an offer to Peyton Falzone on Jan. 21 and running backs coach Chad Scott then visited him at school on Thursday.
“It was great getting a visit yesterday from Chad Scott with WVU football yesterday. I’m really excited to get on campus soon,” said Falzone X (formerly Twitter) Friday.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 200 pounds, Falzone is becoming an extremely popular 2026 prospect with offers from all over the country. He’s a true dual-threat athlete who also runs track at Nazareth High School in Nazareth, Pa.
Falzone is a considered a consensus four-star and among ESPN’s top 300 players for his class. Rivals, 247 Sports and On3 Sports all rank Falzone as one of the top 10 recruits in Pennsylvania and top quarterbacks in the nation.
West Virginia has plenty of competition for Falzone already, with Penn State also showing their interest recently. Penn State head coach James Franklin and a member of his staff visited Falzone in person on the same day he revealed his WVU offer.
In addition to the Mountaineers and Nittany Lions, Rutgers, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin are some of the other major programs pursuing Falzone. Marshall even sent him an offer, trying to join the mix as well.
