Receiving an offer from West Virginia is special to any in-state kid, but it means even more to Bridgeport High School product Carter Zuliani.
WV Sports Now caught up with Zuliani soon after he revealed his WVU offer. Zuliani then shared who he talked to on the staff, detailed some of what was said and even explained why his family is more familiar with the WVU program than most fans.

Listed at 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds, Zuliani, a true athlete who plays basketball, track and swims in high school in addition to football, is being recruited as a tight end. He made two receptions for 47 yards during his 2024 high school season while also blocking a punt and even making as many as four tackles per game on defense.
Blaine Stewart, who will now serve as West Virginia’s inside receivers coach after preciously being the tight ends coach under Neal Brown, reached out to Zuliani with the offer.
