Mike Logan Thanks Steelers QB Kenny Pickett for Gloves Handed to Nephew

A Pitt great showing love to a West Virginia great? Well, that’s what happens when the Pitt all-time great and the former Mountaineer now share an NFL franchise.

As Steelers rookie quarterback, who has been in the midst of some of his best work in his brief time in the league recently, handed some of his game-worn gloves to a fan as he was leaving the field after Pittsburgh’s 19-16 win over the Falcons on Sunday. It wasn’t just any fan though. This fan is the nephew of former Steelers safety Mike Logan.

Pickett may not have even realized this, but Logan was sitting with his family at the game and can be seen cheering as Pickett offered his gloves.

Logan made sure to publicly recognize the gesture with a post on his official Facebook page.

Pickett completed 16 out of 28 passes for 197 yards and a touchdown pass in the win. He also ran for 14 yards in the game.

As for Logan, the McKeesport High School product recorded 292 tackles and 5 interceptions during his NFL career. He was drafted by the Jaguars in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft following a stellar career in college at WVU. Logan was a member of the Steelers Super Bowl XL team.
