Cardinals DL Dante Stills

Dante Stills can now cross off another right of passage for NFL players – being mic’d up. The West Virginia native and WVU product was mic’d up for Arizona’s New Year’s Eve game in Philadelphia.

As Stills’ rookie season comes to a close, he got to experience wearing a microphone at the game. The Cardinals posted a clip of Stills’ interactions with teammates and opponents on social media and made a clip for their YouTube channel.

“I have to remind everybody that I’m mic’d up,” said Stills during warmups.

The 24-year-old Stills can be heard giving a shoutout to his hometown of Fairmont. “I do want to give a quick shoutout to the fam back at the crib. They like five hours away from here. Shoutout to the fam. Shoutout to West Virginia, Fairmont, West Virginia.”

Stills only recoded one tackle in the game, but the day ended up being one of the top moments for the Cardinals all season. Arizona beat the Eagles 35-31. In 15 games played so far, Stills has 47 total tackles, 18 as solo, 3.5 sacks and a fumble recovery.

After a record-breaking career at WVU, the Cardinals drafted Stills in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
